I Played with Clawdbot all Weekend - it's insane.

Claudebot runs entirely on your own machine and is fully open-source, differentiating it from cloud-based assistants (0:45). Users can connect any frontier model (Gemini, OpenAI, Claude) or run local models through LM Studio, giving complete control over the AI backbone.

The assistant learns user preferences over time, remembering communication styles, email priorities, work schedules, and even family calendar distinctions (2:15). Memory is stored locally and continuously updated, though memory compaction can cause detail loss when hitting context limits.

Unlike reactive assistants, Claudebot can be configured with cron jobs to autonomously monitor emails, draft replies, check social media, and alert users to urgent matters (2:30). The system self-determines what counts as 'urgent' and improves its classification over time.

The assistant has complete access to write, execute, and iterate on code locally (3:15). This is essentially Claude Code wrapped in personal assistant functionality, enabling complex tasks like comparing local files with Google Drive and automating uploads.
